1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to the Journal of Artist Sarah Stevenson (”the Publication”), operated by Sarah Stevenson / Red Line Design Studio (”we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing, subscribing to, or reading this Publication, you (”Subscriber” or “you”) agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (”Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not subscribe or access the Publication.

2. About the Publication

The Journal of Artist Sarah Stevenson is an independent publication hosted on Substack. It features a mix of content types including:

• Written articles, essays, and journal entries

• Visual artwork, creative projects, and process documentation

• Newsletters, updates, and announcements

• Audio, podcast episodes, or multimedia content

• Other creative and professional content related to the work of ${ownerName}

The Publication is published at the discretion of the creator and content schedules may vary.

3. Subscriptions and Payments

3.1 Free Subscription

A free subscription tier is available which grants access to select publicly available content. No payment is required for free-tier access.

3.2 Paid Subscription

A paid subscription is available which grants access to exclusive content, including subscriber-only posts and any other premium content designated by the creator. Payments are processed by Substack and are subject to their payment terms.

3.3 Billing and Cancellation

• Paid subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually, as selected at signup).

• You may cancel your paid subscription at any time through your Substack account settings.

• Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds are provided for unused portions of a subscription period, except where required by applicable law.

• We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with reasonable notice to subscribers.

3.4 Refunds

Refund requests are handled on a case-by-case basis. Please contact us at sarah@red-line-design.com if you believe you are entitled to a refund.

4. Intellectual Property

All content published in the Journal of Artist Sarah Stevenson, including but not limited to written works, artwork, images, audio, and visual materials, is the intellectual property of Sarah Stevenson / Red Line Design Studio and is protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and read content for your personal, non-commercial use only. You may not:

• Reproduce, distribute, or republish any content without prior written permission

• Use content for commercial purposes

• Modify, create derivative works from, or otherwise exploit any content

• Share paid-subscriber content with non-subscribers

5. User Conduct

By using this Publication and any associated community features (such as comments), you agree not to:

• Post or share content that is unlawful, harmful, defamatory, or harassing

• Infringe on the intellectual property rights of others

• Share your subscription credentials with others

• Use automated means to access or collect content from the Publication

We reserve the right to remove comments, restrict access, or terminate subscriptions for violations of these standards.

6. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. By subscribing, you provide personal information (such as your email address) which is used to deliver the Publication and communicate with you about your subscription.

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. When we do, the updated Terms will be posted to the Publication with a revised effective date. Your continued subscription or access to the Publication after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

For significant changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify subscribers via email.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the Publication at our sole discretion, including for violations of these Terms. You may terminate your subscription at any time through your Substack account.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts located in California.
